More than 40 million people use Snaptube. This famous app used to download videos from platforms such as YouTube on Android phones.

If you are part of a large group of Snaptube users, you should uninstall the app as soon as possible. As discovered from the Secure-D platform, Snaptube has bombed users with invisible ads for months,and make a thereby gaining benefits from them with unauthorized purchases.
Like the vast majority of apps of this type, Snaptube is not available for download on Google Play. That's why the app has managed to spread among millions of users around the world, without anyone noticing the ad fraud techniques applied by the developer.

However, according to Secure-D, more than 70 million requests for suspicious transactions from Snaptube have been blocked in the past six months, all of a total of 4.4 million unique devices. If not blocked, these orders will result in the purchase of premium services that are not authorized by users within the app, which means a total of $ 91 million in fees.

Moreover, this research also helped find clues to other technologies of this type in the Vidmate application, developed by the same company behind Snaptube, known as Mobiuspace, based in China.

Currently, the developer has not commented on the situation, and the application is still available for download through the most common alternatives to Google Play. As always, it is again advised not to resort to these types of stores unless they have some kind of verification system, and of course it is important to download these applications only from known developers.
